Patient Review 1:

My experience as a 15 year old having had orthodontic braces by Dr. Collons.First of all his staff is bomb! (Great!) Especially the girls up front. They always cared about what was going on in my personal life. Which meant a lot to me. Kind of felt like I was going to see family. Dr. Collons, is a serious but funny man. My teeth are beautiful and my smile is my favorite feature. The only conflict we had is that I am a BRUIN fan and he is a TROJAN. "GO BRUINS"THANX TO DR. COLLONS!
Treatment Length with Dr. Collons: 5 years.

Patient Review 3:

Gentle, kind. OLD SCHOOL common sense. None of the aggressive selling us orthodonture that we got from others. Have been taking my daughter for 3 years of check ups- have yet to be charged one dollar!! He hasn't done anything yet...says he wants to her mouth to grow more before doing anything. She is 11 and most of her friends have been in unnecessary braces for years! Her teeth are coming in just fine!SEE HIM AS A FIRST OR SECOND OPINION...BUT GO!! We are NOT related!!

Patient Review 4:

I went to Dr. Collons for a second opinion for my son, who has been under the care of another orthodontist on the westside (Los Angeles). I had been uneasy about my son's treatment for a variety of reasons, and was becoming less and less comfortable with the situation. I know that orthodonture can be as much an art as it is a science. However, every time I questioned my doctor about a variety of issues , his responses were less than satisfying and somewhat dismissive. Dr. Collons provided a very objective review of my son's current course of treatment, as well as the various options available to us for further treatment. He was extremely professional towards the other orthodontist, but straighforward in his opinions, which I valued immensely. Most importantly, he gave me the knowledge base necessary for me to feel confident and comfortable in conveying my concerns with our doctor. The responses, henceforth, from our doctor were very different from past conversations, and I have no one, other than Dr. Collons, to thank.

Patient Review 5:

Saw Dr. Collons in June 2005 for a consultation. He's nice, "old school", takes time to explain things to you and gave me 2 different treatment options for my problem. The office staff was friendly. I however, always get second opinions, regardless of what anyone says, so when I told the staff my options were a "take it slow" approach or full on jaw surgery, they seemed to want to push the surgery (which Dr. Collons would not be doing, so no hidden agenda I don't think) and gave me tips of getting insurance approvals. I'm not doing the surgery BTW. I listed cost as expensive since I'm not covered by ortho insurance, nothing to do w/Dr. C.Although my referring dentist was in the same building as Dr. Collons, Dr. Collons did not have my x-rays for my appointment, so some of the consultation was guesswork - this annoyed me a little since the other office was less than 30 feet away and I was very clear in what needed to be looked at when I made the appointment a month in advance. How could you not look at x-rays for an orthodontic consult?I'm definitely going back for the non-surgical treatments for a few months, since they're a start to fixing my problem, but he won't be the only orthodontist I consult for other options.
