I am 38 years old and have worn full upper and lower dentures for two years now. The dentures I have were immediate dentures which I paid to have relined a year ago. My problem is that after two years I still hate them. They don't look natural to me... I prefer to eat anything without them. I glue in the lowers each morning and can't wait to take them out each night. My uppers gag me constantly throughout the day.
I know people who have dentures that they never have to glue... they look nice and natural. Some people have even told me how much they like their dentures... they wear them 24 hours a day! So I know there must be better fitting, more natural looking dentures out there for me. Please help me find them!
I know implants are the best option but are cost prohibitive for me (mini implants for a lower over-denture might be do-able). I just want some dentures that don't look so obviously false and that fit well enough so that I can wear them.
Please help... at my age... this has taken a terrible tole on my self esteem. I feel like an old lady! I can't live this way for the next 30 or 40 years!

You are a classic dental cripple. I can really empathize with your problems. You would like some decent function and great esthetics. Unfortunately to get both is sometimes difficult as it takes special training to do that for you. Each person''''s case is unique and presents with its own set of challenges.So if you are interested in a dentist that can deliver all those aspects (including any implant placement), then I would encourage you to come in and have a complimentary consultation. Sorry late reply! You poor lady! No one should feel like you. No one should know you have dentures!Call our office today if you do not have help yet. We are not inexpensive, but we are compassionate and great at cosmetics and fit. Dr. Sacks818-348-2507You can refit these but they might have to be remade.
