My story is a bit complicated: I got my braces on in 2005 in Riverside, CA but moved to Los Angeles in late 2006. Due to my relocation, I had to change Orthodontists but I ended up moving to Mexico.
I have not had any treatment since late 2006 until August 2007[they just took x-rays again and did a new molding and removed wires...brackets are still on].
However, I had to relocate to Mexico again and that is as far as that treatment went. [I am back permanently from Mexico and will not be relocating any further]
I requested to restart my treatment @ the "New" orthodontist [in Torrance, CA] but said that I would have to go BACK to my original Orthodontist to do so. Naturally Riverside is about an hour and a half away and I would like to find someone closer.
I know it's not possible to remove my brackets and start with invisalign due to liability reasons.[Although that was my preference]
HOWEVER, I would like to restart my treatment with the brackets I do have on.
I have insurance (Metlife Dental) and have my moldings as well as all my x-rays and records.
I am looking for someone in the Southbay area.
Please advise!
