Case Description
I have quite a bit of work to be done. I did a consultation with an Irvine, CA Dentist that has given me a very inexpensive (I think FAIR) price for the implants crowns and bone grafts needed. The dentist is not listed on this site and other than meeting him I don't know if he is going to do amazing work. I have heard too often "you get what you pay for". How can I find out more about this dentist? ( I have searched the web to no avail) His name is Kevin J. Seo DDS (Jungwoo). Can anyone recommend him? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance. -JMT PS.. English and Japanese speaking options are a plus.

You do get what you pay for (for the most part). I would hesitate when looking for a discount price when dealing with complicated dental treatment plans. I spend most of my day every day fixing things that went wrong (sometimes terribly wrong) in the hands of other dentists. That said, you don''''t have to go to the most expensive dentist either, just one who knows what he/she is doing. To have your implants placed you will want to go to either an oral surgeon or a periodontist. You do not want to go to a general dentist. You want to have the implants placed in the right place in an area with good bone quality. An oral surgeon that I have worked with a lot that charges fair prices for his implant work is: Dr. Robert Posek his number is 310-337-0007You might ask him for a referral for lower fee crowns to be placed on the implants. My fees are a bit on the high side so you probably wouldn''''t be interested in coming all the way up to Beverly Hills.If the implants are properly placed and the crowns are cemented on (not screwed in place) you can get away with having a dentist who is less experienced and therefore lower cost without having a major disaster happen in your mouth. Hello , The best way is to google the Dr and see if they come up and if there is an website with testimonials. I would be more than happy to see you and give you a referral for a great periodontist for your implants and bone graft and we can then see you for the crown restorations. You definitely want to see a periodontist for your implant placements and bone graft. I highly do not recommend seeing a general dentist for your specialtly work needed. It is very important for your implant surgeon to be a board certified periodontist. You can verify their credential on American Board of Periodontology website (www.abperio.org). Now a days there are many regular dentists taking weekend courses and claiming to be dental implant specialist, verify credentials and standing with dental board, and according to their training the fee''''''''s may be some what less (as you said "you get what you pay for").You can call my office for complimentary consultation at (310)275-1090, we will perform a comprehensive dental exam, provide diagnosis and provide treatment options and associated fees.
